Pope Francis will be traveling to the United States in September of 2015. In honor of his visit, we have been asked by Catholic Charities to welcome him and share a Message of Charity by reading/reciting the following excerpt taken from the Gospel of Matthew:
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me…
Astor’s Executive Director/CEO James McGuirk, along with Astor staff members and children joined together to give a warm welcome to Pope Francis.
Charity Has No Boundaries
To celebrate Pope Francis’ visit to the United States and his universal message of charity, especially for the poor and vulnerable, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York is inviting people of all faiths to share a welcome message with him by creating a short video of themselves reading or reciting these universal words of charity.
